About Pins & Needles Art Quilyting

The Pins & Needles Art Quilters group is a neighborhood circle formed from members of River City Quilter’s Guild. We meet once a month to exchange information about art quilts, to share and critique our work, to pursue exhibitions and competitions, and publishing options. We currently have over twenty dedicated members from varied backgrounds. We challenge our group monthly to try new techniques, or themes, to explore mixed media options, and to share new discoveries.

Our group’s work is regularly shown at the River City Quilter’s Guild annual show in Sacramento, California. Our members’ work has also been shown at several national and international shows, as well as in local venues.

Our presence at the River City Quilters' Guild Show,
November 2013.

Pictures appear in no particular order. I sincerely apologize for the poor quality of some of the images. I can only say I was so dazzled by our talented members and their quilts, I just lost my head.

This is her latest. Please visit her page
to see more (click on her name in the members list).

And Then There Were Animals

B. J Bailey calls this "The Alien Cats".
Her co-workers liked it and so do we.

Kim Brownell's quilt is entitled "Horses".
She made it especially for a friend.

White Lines

A great challenge. Create a six-inch black square with only one white line, the line must start and end on an edge. We had great fun linking them up as a continuous line.

These were displayed at the Sacramento Fine Arts Center Gallery as an interactive work. Viewers were encouraged to move the squares on the display board.
